Plot Summary:
Makoto is a high school student who one day found himself sent to a strange, magical world called El Hazard. He is then forced to impersonate a missing princess(an idea for which he does not care for). Other earthlings sent to this world include Makoto's teacher (Fujisawa), his girlfriend (Nanami), and his girlfriend's brother (Jinnai). Jinnai, by the way has teamed up with an evil army of giant insect creatures so that he can take over El Hazard and kill Makoto. Luckly, Makoto has a guide and a bodygaurd to help him get by. Well actually, the guide is a girl who falls in love with every woman she meets and the bodyguard is just a cat... oh well.

Plot Summary:
At Shinonome High School, Makoto, a mild mannered engineering prodigy is working on a special science project with some help from his girl friend, Nanami, an entrepreneurial whiz as passionate about her work as Makoto is at his. Unfortunately, her brother, Jinnai, a mega-maniacal cheat who irrationally thinks that Makoto is out to ruin his every ambition including his corrupt school presidency, has other plans. He tries to sabotage Makoto's device when Makoto catches him. Yozakura Quartet is a Japanese manga created by Suzuhito Yasuda that began publishing by Kodansha in 2006, and was then published in the US by Del Rey in 2008. The series was animated in Japan and aired from October 2 to December 18, 2008; it comprises 12 episodes, all of which have aired. The anime was produced by Nomad and aired on TBS on Thursdays. Three anime OVAs were released alongside volmunes 9-11 of the manga, between October 10, 2010 to November 9, 2011. A new anime adaptation of the series was announced in April 2013, with the cast returning from the first anime and OVAs, but it will be produced at Tatsunoko Production to be aired in Fall 2013. Yozakura Quartet is Suzuhito Yasuda's first manga. Before the creation of Yozakura Quartet, he was an illustrator. He drew the original character designs for Yoshikazu Kuwashima's series Kamisama Kazoku and Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!!.
