Plot Summary:
With the fifth offshoot of the "Ben 10" franchise, the animated series returns to its roots and its original name, bringing teenager Benjamin "Ben" Tennyson, his cousin Gwen and Grandpa Max back to life on a new summer vacation journey. As in the original, the stories in the remake of the series also spin around an alien wristwatch called "Omnitrix," with the help of Ben can turn into ten different friendly aliens, which come up with different supernatural powers. He fights enemy aliens and experiences with grandfather and cousin the most exciting vacation imaginable.

It was created by DIC Entertainment which has done the overseas animation and in association with Ellipse Programmé and Nelvana. This animated program originally aired in syndication in the USA in 1987 by Coca-Cola Telecommunications. 65 total episodes were made throughout the show's broadcasting, but it only lasted one season during the 1987-1988 television season. The show's first 21 episodes can be purchased individually by episode or as a set from online retailer Amazon.com. There were originally plans by Galoob to release a Dinosaucers toyline, and prototype figures were produced; however, the line was scrapped after the show was canceled. Hong Kong Phooey is a 16-episode Hanna-Barbera animated series that first aired on ABC Saturday morning from September 7, 1974 to December 21, 1974. It was a parody of kung fu shows and movies of the time. The main character Hong Kong Phooey is a clownishly clumsy secret alter ego of Penrod "Penry" Pooch, working at a police station as a "mild-mannered" janitor under the glare of Sergeant Flint. He transforms himself into Hong Kong Phooey upon running into a magic filing cabinet despite always getting stuck - and unstuck by his cat Spot - and once transformed, gets equipped with the "Phooeymobile" vehicle that transforms itself into a boat, a plane, or a telephone booth depending on the circumstances. He fights crime relying on his copy of The Hong Kong Book of Kung Fu, but he succeeds only thanks to his cat Spot who provides a solution to the challenges or they are solved by himself as result of a comically unintended side effect of his conscious efforts. Ben 10 was an American animated series created by Man of Action, and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The series is about a 10 year old boy named Ben Tennyson who gets a watch-like alien device called the "Omnitrix". Attached to his wrist, this allows him to transform into various alien creatures. The pilot episode aired on December 27, 2005, as part of a sneak peek of Cartoon Network's Saturday morning lineup. The second episode was shown as a special on Cartoon Network's Fridays on January 13, 2006, and the final regular episode aired on April 15, 2008. The series gradually became popular among audiences, evolving into a franchise, being nominated for two Emmy Awards, winning one for "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation". Ben 10 was succeeded by Ben 10: Alien Force, which itself was succeeded in April 2010 by Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. A new series called Ben 10: Omniverse premiered in September 2012.
