Plot Summary:
Around the World with Willy Fog is a cartoon adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. The cartoon was produced by Spanish studio BRB Internacional with animation by Japanese studio Nippon Animation. In the same vein as BRB's Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, the characters are anthropomorphisms of various animals as the species depicted are of much greater variety than in that series. The core trio are all felines being pursued by three canine foes. Willy Fog is depicted as a lion, while Rigodon is actually a cat and not a lynx because of his tail and ears and Romy a panther. An English dub of the series was directed by Tom Wyner, which featured artists such as Cam Clarke, Gregory Snegoff, Steve Kramer and Mike Reynolds. While the series never achieved popularity in the United States, the English version found fame when it was broadcast on Children's BBC in the United Kingdom. The series was initially screened in 1984 in the UK and then on RTE in Ireland, while other dubs gained the series fanbases in several other countries. The series was also dubbed into Japanese and aired on Japan's TV Asahi in 1987, where it was titled Anime Around the World in 80 Days.

Seabert is an animated television series from 1985. It was created by BZZ films in Paris and originally aired in French before being translated into different languages around the world. In the United States, the show aired on HBO starting in 1987. There were 26 episodes. The author is Marc Tortarolo for the theme, Philippe Marin for the design and Jacques Morel and Eric Turlot for the stories. Seabert was about a boy named Tommy, an Inuit girl named Aura, and their "pet" whitecoat seal Seabert. After Seabert's parents are killed by hunters, the three banded together. They go on adventures in which they encounter more hunters and poachers and save various animals from harm. The production for the series was handled by Mill Valley Animation, on a contract from Sepp, SA International, Brussels, the noted production house which also featured animation series and properties including the Smurfs, Snorks and Foofur. Jerry Smith, owner of Mill Valley Animation was also responsible for many of the below the line fulfillment needs of many Hanna-Barbera, Ruby Spears and some DIC Animation series. Maya the Bee is an anime television series produced by Zuiyo Enterprise in Japan. The series consisted of 52 episodes and was originally telecast across Japan from April 1975 to April 1976 on the TV Asahi network. Based on the classic children's book Maya the Bee by Waldemar Bonsels, the anime series has become extremely popular in Europe and has been rebroadcast in countries and languages all around the world since its premiere.
